Big Cove Resort is one of the landmarks in the history of Lake Almanor. Originally built in the 1950's and purchased in 1980 by brothers Paul and Gary Casella. Our goal was to build on the tradition while continuing to improve and enhance our services at Lake Almanor.

 

The bonds of friendship that have formed with patrons who return every year, have created an atmoshpere of a unique community.

 

Whether it is sharing the lake experiences such as boating, water-skiing, wave running, fishing or golfing at nearby golf courses, our patrons truly enjoy their "fun in the sun". Restaurants in walking distance range from cafes to pizza parlors to fine dining establishments available for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Other summer events include an old-fashioned 4th of July parade with art shows, logging contests, food and great fun for all ages. A 4th of July fireworks spectacular on the lake is breathtaking for all to behold.

 

Our patrons can look forward to annual get-togethers such as "Dancing Under the Stars" featuring live entertainment to be enjoyed by all. Our yearly "pot-luck" picnic barbecue for our patrons, which has been enhanced to include a wine-tasting party, is always a favorite.
